Blockbuster failed because they failed to innovate according to Forbes

BlackBerry

Before 2007 Blackberry owned the cellphone market many people were so addicted to their Blackberry's that it was dubbed the "crackberry". So, how did  Blackberry fail? Yep, you guessed it they failed to innovate, Apple came out with smart phones, phones with apps and email capabilities and Blackberry had confidence in their phones because their phones had a keyboard that they would still dominate, wrong!
Kodak was the leader in capturing memories for over 100 years, but the digital revolution swept the world and Kodak's CEO said that know one would want digital photos. So, they refused to go digital and Kodak went from being a 300 billion dollar company in 1997 to a 95 million dollar company today. Yep, they too failed to innovate.

So, what does all of this mean? It means in this fast pace world you must keep up with the competition or be at risk of going out of business. You can not see innovation as a bad thing. You must not only keep up with technology you must always be thinking of a way to exceed technology. As a business owner you must always think of ways to grow and advance your business.  Learn from Blockbuster, Blackberry, and Kodak innovate or die. So, let us ask you a question?
